Meeting people is so strange. Why do we have to touch hands to acknowledge each other’s existence? It’s like: “I respect you so I’m going to grab you with my hand that’s touched who knows what, who knows where, who knows how many times”. Not to mention who knows when the last time you washed your hands was. Also, you just love to hear someone’s first impressions of you on full blast before you’ve even been given a chance. Some people need to control their thoughts better. I mean it’s nice to know when no matter what you do or say that someone won’t like you, but it really would be nice to pretend otherwise for once. Just my luck to be born here instead of somewhere else where handshakes aren’t a thing. Then again, I don’t know if I’d like people getting super close to my face with certain other cultural greetings. I just wish more people got the signal when I try to just nod or smile instead.
