COVID Aurelia

If you’re wondering how the pandemic has been treating me, I’ll give you a run down. I didn’t get out much in the first place so I definitely haven’t been hit as hard as some people. Lucky for me as well that I settled into my new place just before things got as bad as they did. I was worried at first for my job since my powers actually require me to touch the person I’m working with, something obviously frowned upon for the time being. And while I couldn’t afford to be picky, I told myself that the moment any nasally voiced, coughing, or otherwise sickly individuals called that I would have to give them a rain check. At the end of the day though I was forced to pick up some odd jobs in the city to stay afloat. The worst part of the whole experience though was when someone in our building kept stealing masks out of other people’s laundry. He thought he was doing us a “community service”. I only found out it was him after he, clearly trying to make a statement while fully maskless, got me to shake his hand since I suppose we hadn’t really been introduced yet. I can think of only a few times before where I’ve hated being able to hear someone else’s thoughts more. After that though he got busted and things went back to being as normal as they could be. Overall, I think social distancing is great and we should never go back.
